An ordained Disciples minister, Rev. Daphne Marie Gascot Arias is passionate about multi-cultural and multi-lingual ministry and issues around social justice, as well as Hebrew Bible scholarship. Rev. Gascot has earned degrees from La Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico and Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO.  She has extensive training in the field of spirituality integrative psychotherapy and pastoral counseling and is currently pursing a PhD in Hebrew Bible and Jewish Studies at Claremont School of Theology. A second-generation Disciples, Rev. Gascot grew up in Puerto Rico, attending both Disciples congregations and Disciples schools (elementary, middle and high schools).  She grew up surrounded by the Disciples way of “doing church,” which valued education, ecumenism, and engagement with the community.  In addition to having tons of multi-cultural experience and a love for learning languages, Rev. Gascot is mom to Daphne Magnolia and Yael Marie, and is married to Rev. José F. Morales Jr.
